Bandung Infrastructure Viaduct
Project overview
- Bridge length
- 1.2 km
- Lanes
- 6 (3 each direction)
- Design life
- 100 years
Project background
An urban corridor in Bandung needed an elevated bypass to relieve congestion. The viaduct spans roughly 1.2 km through varied terrain, with durability requirements tied to a 100-year design life and heavy daily traffic loading.
Project goal
Deliver a six-lane viaduct (three per direction) with segment pours sequenced to maintain traffic management plans, while meeting structural performance and long-term durability targets for an infrastructure asset.

Why this approach
We supported segmental pour sequencing with specialty mix designs for durability and controlled heat of hydration. Close coordination with the civil contractor kept bearing pours, pier caps, and deck segments aligned with lane closures and inspection hold points.
Key outcomes
The viaduct connection opened with traffic diverted on plan. Achieved spans meet the intended lane configuration and design-life criteria, giving the authority a maintainable corridor asset with documented quality records from batch through placement.
